Walking

The beautiful Cheshire countryside and the hills of the Peak District are easily accessible from where I live. Several years ago I joined the Alderley Edge, Wilmslow & District Footpath Preservation Society ( http://www.footpaths.org.uk/  ), who walk each Sunday morning in Cheshire. I used to be the Hon Sec of that society, and you'll find some of my walk reports on that site..

On retiring in 2008 I walked with Stockport Walkers  most Wednesdays on their 'A' walks. These walks usually comprised about ten strenuous miles in the Peak District. Quite demanding for an old git like me! My knees unfortunately don't permit such walks these days!
